BENVENUTO ▪ WILLKOMMEN ▪ BIENVENUE ▪ WELKOM ▪ WELCOME

In 1910, San Diego’s population was just 39,578. Balboa Park landscaping had begun, and San Diego Bay was home port to the world’s tuna fleet.

While ashore, many Genoese and Sicilian fishermen lived in the blocks overlooking the water, and soon referred to them as "Little Italy."

One of the community’s favorite gathering places was a small hotel on the corner of State and Grape, now known as the Little Italy Inn.

This beautiful Inn was built in 1910 and was a favorite of many fishermen.

A lot has changed since 1910. We acquired the property in 2004 and knew as we embarked on a major renovation, that we desired to preserve the architecture, warmth and character of the original Inn as much as possible. We feel that we accomplished the goal, and hope that you will agree when you come experience the special beauty of the Inn.

Each of the Inn's twenty-three rooms is individually decorated--so every time you stay with us, you may if you wish, experience a varied ambience.

Our rooms are appointed with complimentary spa robes and fine bath products, as well as premium bottled water and luxury bedding ensembles.

A continental breakfast--and more, is served daily from 7:00 am to 10:30 am. If you are an especially early bird, we are more than happy to accommodate, upon request.

We look forward to ensuring that you have a lovely, warm and intimate lodging experience while you are in San Diego.
